Voting in Italy today, who is ahead in the polls?

Parliamentary elections are going to be held in Italy on Sunday. Meanwhile, political leaders have finished their campaigns. Campaigning is banned on Saturday local time. This election is considered important in view of the ongoing Ukraine-Russia war. According to public opinion polls, the right wing can win this election.

It is known that the leader of the Brothers of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, is ahead in the election race. His rival Giuseppe Conte told supporters the vote was historically significant.
A win in the election would see Meloni become Italy's first female prime minister. His party could form a right-wing government with Matteo Salvini's League and Silvio Berlusconi's Forza Italia. As a result, Italians will decide today whether to choose a right-wing government after World War II.

Meloni has promised billions of dollars in tax cuts and a flat tax for those earning less than €100,000.

Meanwhile, Meloni's main rival, Enrico Letta, leader of the center-left Democratic Party, is no less. He said, "If Georgia Meloni wins, those who will be happy in the international arena are Europe's Viktor Orban, America's Donald Trump and Russia's Vladimir Putin."
